Artificial Turf on Rooftop Decks

Our Turf-Tray™ system is an engineered system used in conjunction with our artificial turf & adjustable pedestals for elevated and level rooftop decks. Using synthetic turf in roof deck applications allows you to enjoy the look, feel, and function of natural grass without the weight of soil or the extensive maintenance required to keep natural grass looking good. You are also able to avoid the inevitable bugs and weeds that come with having soil and natural grass on your roof. This growing trend provides visual beauty to multi-level homes, high-rise condominiums, and balconies that want the “green look” and feel of natural grass.

Additionally, thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) single-ply roofing is among the fastest-growing commercial roofing products. Most residential and commercial roofs are being constructed with TPO. TPO allows 100% protection of water penetration and offers an inexpensive way to complete a roof system. Even though TPO is a great roofing solution, its white flat surface is not a pretty sight, especially when viewing from above. Rooftops and balconies that are constructed with the TPO membrane gives the client the option to use synthetic turf in addition to porcelain paver, IPE wood deck tiles & concrete pavers all installed on adjustable pedestals for an elevated and level usable surface

Load Bearing

Porcelain Pavers are comprised of a 3/4″ or 20mm single layer of load-bearing porcelain paving designed for use in conjunction with raised pedestals and deck support systems as well as other dry installation and traditional fixing methods allowing total flexibility in design applications.

Light Weight

Due to their lightweight characteristics, turf tray pavers are much easier to transport and install, especially in high-rise building applications where they can be easily transported in service elevators.

Superior Wear Resistance

Completely nonporous, they will not stain and require no sealing. They will remain looking as good as the day they were installed! Extremely high slip resistance for all finishes and ensures a safe outdoor floor area wet or dry.

Adjustable Pedestals

Our PATENTED Hybrid pedestal system is designed for porcelain pavers to lay level over built-up roofs & allow for self-leveling, screw adjustable, PVC pipe adjustable, and stackable.

Installation Guide

Easy installation

General installation steps, FIRST the pedestals grid is laid out and pedestals are assembled and tuned to the correct heights using string lines and laser level. SECOND, the Turf-Tray™ is then installed on top of the leveled pedestals. THIRD, after 3 unites of Turf-Tray™ are installed the Hex-Lock Disk are inserted into the curf-cut corners of the 3 trays and the 4^th Turf-Tray™ is installed. FOURTH, a 1-1/4” screw is inserted into Hex-Lock Disk and hand tightened. FINALLY, the Turf is rolled out and cut to the correct size and installed using 1-1/4” screw to the Turf-Tray™ and or adhered with Chem-Link M-1 adhesive using the designated adhesive tracks.
