It is one of the few surviving examples of an American architectural genre: the wooden Victorian beach resort. It is the second-largest wooden structure in the United States and was designated a California Historical Landmark in 1970 and a National Historic Landmark in 1977. When it opened in 1888, it was the single largest resort hotel in the world. It has hosted presidents, royalty, and celebrities through the years. The hotel has been featured in numerous movies and books.
Tile Tech Porcelain Pavers in 24×24 Travertine Tan installed on our Hex-Trays and Adjustable Pedestals crown the Vista Walk terraces and bring together ultimate design and versatility to the outdoor experience. The Vista Walk is a picturesque location for ceremonies and other outdoor events at the hotel. The scope of work consisted of the removal of existing landscape and hardscape to provide a new ADA compliant plaza as well as elevating and expanding the Vista Walk to one level.
