What are they?
The Tile Tech adjustable pedestal system is a structure support system consisting of 7 standard pieces and a user-supplied SDR-35 PVC pipe. This system is used to convert uneven and otherwise unusable terrain into a level area suitable for decking. They can accommodate up to 2 feet of difference in height, and turn a hilly, unwalkable slope into a stunning pool deck or outdoor terrace. Our pedestal paver system also includes built-in self-leveling with additional slope compensation plates at the bottom of the pedestal system. The stackable caps allow for slope adjustment up to 3 percent, and the screw adjustment allows for quick and easy fine height tuning of an additional ¾ inch, 1½ inch, or 4 inches, depending on the model used. All in all, our adjustable pedestal support is an installer’s dream, making tile placement and terrain leveling easier than ever before.
What can they be used with?
Our adjustable pedestal support system was designed to be incredibly versatile and useful in as many applications as possible. They’re compatible with our concrete pavers, porcelain pavers, and ipe wood deck tiles, and they’re suitable for outdoor decking or rooftop installations. We also offer low height pedestals for adjustments as little as ½ inch. In addition to our Tile Tech brand pavers, our pedestal system can also be used to support wood joists to construct traditional wood plank decks. For paver installation, pedestals are used to support each corner of the tile, and additional supports can be added in the center or midway points depending on paver size and anticipated loading.
